Eyasluna
For complete perks, see d2gunsmith.com, light.gg or destinytracker.com.
Eyasluna is a 140 RPM Legendary Stasis Hand Cannon in the Kinetic slot. It’s available from the final encounter in the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon, added to Destiny in December 2021. It was originally available, and much sought after, in Destiny 1 often referred to as a “mini Hawkmoon” not only because of the look but the name itself. “Luna”… well that’s an exercise for the reader π
Eyas: A young hawk, especially (in falconry) an unfledged nestling taken from the nest for training. - lexico.com
It’s a phenomenal weapon with multiple excellent perk pairings and readily available from farming the Grasp boss. I was able to obtain thirty rolls in the first week that it was available.
PvP Thoughts
With how much hype there is surrounding Eyasluna there’s no shortage of (often-conflicting) content. This is a Good Thing(tm) because it means in this case, Bungie is doing a great job producing perks where, in spite of what many will tell you, there is no clear winning combo for all players and all play styles. There’s two different perspectives I’d suggesting watching/listening to:
- Eyasluna is ELITE and the God Roll isn’t what others say it is (FULL REVIEW) - CoolGuy * Is Eyasluna’s God Roll a Disappointment? - Drewsky
…and a whole bunch of others that you can have on when you’re driving or otherwise looking for background Destiny talk π This list will undoubtedly grow over the coming weeks as people have a chance to get their hands on varying rolls for testing.
- Eyasluna GOD ROLLS Review (MEH) - Aztecross * Destiny 2 - The TWO TAP Eyasluna Is INSANE! - Destiny Fun Police * Eyasluna, Fatebringer, Palindrome: Which one is King of the Crucible? - Gleauxx * Eyasluna - Better Than Palindrome? - TrueVanguard * The Secret God Roll for Eyasluna in Destiny 2 PVP - TrueVanguard
The decision tree for me comes down to one thing: Rangefinder
. Rangefinder
increases the Zoom
factor and if you’re OK with that change in perspective, then you should strongly consider running Rangefinder
. If you equip a roll with Rangefinder
and find that it feels “off” then well, it’s not for you and that’s 100% OK. If it doesn’t feel good, don’t do it!. You’re not missing out on a make-or-break experience for using Eyasluna. Even if Rangefinder
feels great, but you want to do something different and give Perpetual Motion
a shot? Well by all means!
PvE Thoughts
With Headstone
, Kill Clip
, Demolitionist
and Harmony
, Eyasluna has a terrific selection of fourth column perks for PvE. There isn’t anything brand new / game-changing so not much to discuss here in the comments section. Perpetual Motion
in the third column is the new perk, but I wouldn’t reccomend it in PvP over nearly anything else in the column π
Aztecross points out something worth considering: Headstone
is what makes Eyasluna unique from a PvE perspective. Sure it can roll with good combos, but isn’t Fatebringer w/Explosive Rounds
and Firefly
hard to beat? Or a Judgment with Demolitionist
and Adrenaline Junkie
? Or generating Warmind Cells with the Seventh Seraph Officer Revolver? Or an Adept Palindrome with Subsistence
and Rampage
? Run it for a reason, and that reason is Headstone
since that’s what makes it unique among 140s.
π¦ Drewsky’s Pick (pvp)
Drewsky feels pretty strongly about this roll being The One, giving you Range
and Stability
in the 70s and 95 Aim Assist
when ADS’d. “I don’t know how you justify much else other than this roll." Strong words! πͺ

π‘ TrueVanguard’s Pick (pvp)
TrueVanguard disagrees! He didn’t like the feel of the Rangefinder
+ Moving Target
combo (and is not alone in this). My guess is that people don’t like the increased Zoom provided by Rangefinder
. He also believes that RF+MT over-indexes on Range
and Aim Assist
given their already best-in-class values and that you’re better adding perks to those great stats than by enhancing them immaterially. This is his roll and he “wouldn’t change a thing about it.” Strong words! πͺ

𦩠Fast on Its Feet (Snapshot) (pvp)
The huge Handling
bump from Fastdraw HCS
along with Perpetual Motion
and Snapshot
make this 140 RPM feel like a Lightweight. You could achieve the same thing with the 120 RPM Steady Hand (w/Quickdraw
and Snapshot
) and it completely changes the feel of the weapon. You get all the lethality without the heavy-handedness of the frame.

π₯ Flock (pve, pvp)
As more weapons start appearing with Harmony
, it becomes feasible to run double-Harmony
loadouts. My thought process for Harmony
is - “What third column perks make the seven seconds of Harmony more effective?” In endgame PvE, getting a kill with your special or heavy from cover means a solid primary damage boost.

βοΈ Death from Above (pve)
Given the number of times I search for Demolitionist
across all of my weapons, it seems only natural to have a solid Demolitionist
-based roll. Grenade-based bounties pop up in every game mode (incl. Dares of Eternity). This isn’t flagged for PvP because you’d want something other than Unrelenting in that third column (unless you’re a streamer dropping 40-bombs). Working backwards from Demolitionist
if you’re assuming lots of kills to keep those grenades coming, Unrelenting
goes well to keep your health topped off. No reload perks since throwing your grenade is a free reload.

Your classic reload and damage-boosting PvE combo here. This used to be the “god roll” across both PvE and PvP, but has fallen out of favor in PvP given the abundance of excellent third column perks appearing on many new weapons, and the fact that Kill Clip does not change your TTK in PvP.
